Bulgaria’s Focus Radio has obtained a licence for broadcasting in South Moldova. The decision was adopted unanimously at a meeting of Moldova’s Commission for Audio and Visual Media Regulation.
More than 100,000 ethnic Bulgarians, descendants of 18th century Bulgarian emigrants, live in Moldova. There are many ethnic Bulgarians in South Moldova, in the regions of Taraclia, Corten, Comrat, Congaz, Tvardita, and in Ukraine’s Bolgrad.
