KBS-Korea's radio programme, Korea, China, Japan - A Story of Three Nations, won a silver award in the history category at the New York Festivals radio awards, which honour the best radio programmes from around the world.
For this year's 54th edition of the awards, radio programmes from over 30 countries competed for the top award. The award ceremony was held on Monday in New York.
Korea, China, Japan - A Story of Three Nations delves into the relationship of the three countries, which share a complex history. While examining past political conflicts, the programme considered the future of the three nations, and their co-existence based upon understanding and tolerance.
Programme Producer Cho Hyu-jeong said that the aim of her radio documentary was to examine the possibility of peace and progress in the region in the age of globalisation.
KBS-Korea was also awarded a finalist certificate for Odyssey of Mythology: Death of Medusa in the Best Drama Special category.
