BBC Radio Ulster/Foyle remains the number one listened to radio station in Northern Ireland with an average weekly audience of 591,000 listeners tuning in each week, according to the latest RAJAR (Radio Joint Audio Research) figures for Quarter Two, 2011.
These latest RAJAR figures show an increase of 59,000 listeners to the station year on year (with 532,000 listeners in Quarter Two, 2010) and an increase of 26,000 listeners quarter on quarter (with 565,000 listeners in Quarter One, 2011).
Radio Foyle, meanwhile, has an average weekly audience of 32,000 listeners. This figure is consistent year on year (with 32,000 listeners in Quarter Two, 2010) and shows an increase of 1,000 listeners quarter on quarter (with 31,000 listeners in Quarter 1, 2011).
