ABU to play greater role in BroadcastAsia

Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) will be collaborating with the ABU in preparation for the BroadcastAsia 2012 International Conference that will take place at Suntec Centre in Singapore from 19 to 22 June.

The ABU Technology Department will assist SES, the organisers of the annual BroadcastAsia International Conference, in selecting the conference theme, outlining the conference programme and identifying the speakers for next year's conference.

SES will continue to organise the conference and conduct it alongside the BroadcastAsia exhibition.

The ABU has been closely associated with BroadcastAsia since its inception and is one of the pioneer supporters of the international broadcasting industry event.

The ABU Secretary-General, Javad Mottaghi, said: "I am delighted that SES and the ABU have decided to work together on this prominent event which serves the broadcasting industry in this region and in many other parts of the world. This collaboration between the two organisations will result in positive gains for the conference and the key industry stakeholders".

Stephen Tan, Chief Executive of SES, said: "Over the years, BroadcastAsia has established itself as a key hub and platform enabling many global industry players to network and do business together. We believe that this collaboration with the ABU will serve to cement the conference as the must-attend event."
