Gold Coast band, Nine Sons of Dan and Sydney-based pop singer, Danielle Blakey have been announced winners today of this year’s New Artist 2 Radio (NA2R) showcase, the commercial radio industry’s competition to discover unsigned, independent music artists for commercial radio.
Sydney based artist/songwriter, Danielle’s music blends together the catchy sensibilities of LA pop with the musical embellishments of Nashville- put simply: crossover pop/country in the same vein as Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. Danielle is a well-seasoned performer, starting at the age of nine.
Hailing from the Gold Coast, this band formed in 2008. Working together on a university recording project has evolved into a successfully touring band consisting of Jay Bainbridge (Vocals), Daniel Cox (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Alex Pundyk (Rhythm Guitar/Vocals), Morgan Flakey Blake (Drums) and bassist, Wil Edga. The band has been hailed by local radio stations as the “next big thing”.
