The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) will soon have to cut its broadcasting hours drastically in order to keep its head above water. Spending on locally produced programmes will also be slashed, NBC Director General Albertus Aochamub told The Namibian yesterday. Television broadcast hours are likely to be cut from 24 hours a day to between 17:00 and 22:00 local time. Radio broadcasts might end at 22:00 and resume at 05:00 local time.
