Follow Radiodays Europe on the net

700 participants from 45 countries are on their way to Barcelona this week to spend some intense days at the Radiodays Europe from Wednesday to Friday.  Whether you are in Barcelona or you are staying at home to keep radio running, it will be interesting to follow the event on Twitter.  There you can see what other radio people comment about the event and the themes discussed there. There will be tweets with links to news stories being published during the conference on www.radiodayseurope.com and at leading European radio industry publications like www.radiotoday.co.uk, www.radioszene.de and others.

So follow hashtag #rde12 and include it in whatever you might tweet with relation to Radiodays Europe.

SPECIAL SERVICE FOR SMARTPHONES
Radiodays Europe has developed a special mobile service, which is especially adapted for use on smartphones.

It is not an app, but a web service with the advantage of functioning on all types of smart phones - Androids on mobiles and tablets as well as iPhones and iPads.  Especially the "Sessions" presentations gives easy access to a good overview of what is happening at the conference.

Access to the mobile service: You open your web browser and write in m.radiodayseurope.com in the URL-field.  When you have entered the service, click on the + (or other symbol) on the middle of the bottom line which bring you to a menu where you chose "Add to home screen".  This gives you an icon on the opening like all your apps - and access directly into the service.

LAST NEW NAMES ON THE PROGRAM
The "Microkia" alliance is challenging the now dominating market leader Google on location based services. Nokia´s director of Places Gary Gale will give us the overview of this rapidly expanding market and tell us how radio can benefit from it.

From Ireland - which really has experienced the economic crisis, but come through it in a better way than many other countries - comes David Murphy, business editor of RTE, to tell about the challenges in reporting on complicated financial matters with large consequences for the population.

Denmark, Netherlands and Italy - how does the leading shows on radio sound in these countries? Ida Ebbensgaard from Denmark Radio´s youth channel P3 will come in with her views together with Giel Beelen from the Dutch 3FM and Filippo Solibello from the Italian RAI 2.
