Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) has been announced as the International Cricket Council (ICC) broadcasting partner for its Twenty20 World Cup, which will be hosted by the South Asian island nation later this year.
Sri Lanka will face Zimbabwe in the opening match on 18 September 2012 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
SLBC plans to provide "ball to ball commentaries in all the three languages, Sinhala, Tamil and English, covering this tournament," said a government statement.
The tournament, which will be the fourth ICC Twenty20 (T2O) World Cup – and the first to be held in Asia - runs until 7 October 2012.
The ICC World Twenty20 2014 will be hosted by Bangladesh.
