The EBU Radio Drama Workshop is being held in Baden-Baden, Germany, at the kind invitation of ARD-SWR from 13 to 15 June 2012.
More than 50 Radio Drama Specialists are gathering at SWR. The programme will cover a variety of themes and topics, concerning not only Radio Drama, but also encompassing public service broadcasting: how to attract new audiences, how to reflect concrete social issues.
One of the highlights of the workshop is the session devoted to James Joyce's Ulysses, celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the masterpiece's publication (Bloomsday, which happens on June 16th, is the day on which Ulysses takes place). The productions of SWR/Germany, RTE/Ireland and BBC/United Kingdom will be premiered at the workshop.
