Continuing its green initiative for the second consecutive year, New York Festivals International Radio Program & Promotion Awards 2012 will offer an e-program for the awards on a mobile app.
Winners and attendees of the ceremony can save trees while viewing the paperless awards program on their mobile device. The NYF mobile app will communicate information about the 2012 award-winning entries including Broadcaster of the Year, United Nations Department of Public Information, Grand Trophy, Gold, Silver and Bronze winners. The paperless program guide continues the green initiative launched at the 2011 TV and Film Awards held in Las Vegas at the NAB show.
Last year, the NYF Radio Awards also launched a new green promotion category for environmental awareness campaigns, honouring radio industry professionals whose promos for the environment enlists others to consider their carbon footprint.
The New York Festivals Radio Awards 2012 ceremony will be held on 18 June at Manhattan Penthouse.
