It seems that the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) staff has been quite busy up on the “Hill” — with the proposed CEO legislation and the repeal of the Smith-Mundt Act.
Neither went anywhere.
Word on the street is that the excuses are “Congress loves the ideas but this is not the right time.” When would be a good time for these two silly ideas?
The BBG should try to fix what is broken — the Broadcasting Board of Governors and International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB) staff.
As the saying goes — if it ain’t broken why fix it?
Smith-Mundt ain’t broken and there is no need for a CEO
Just asking?
Jane Doe
Jane Doe is a pen name of a journalist employed by the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
