Southsound says the weekend will be packed full of fun, challenges, music and special guests including Bristolian comedian and actor Stephen Merchant, North West Bristol MP Charlotte Leslie, and upcoming local singer Ryan Curtis.
The show will be hosted by presenters Josh Ellis, Roger Noble & Gary Hopkins. Other presenters from the station will be making guest appearances on the show and will be around Bristol collecting money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Roger Noble Programme Controller of the station says: “A big thanks to Plusnet and Asda Patchway for their involvement in the broadcast, we’re getting our matchsticks ready to keep our eyes open for the 52 Hours, but we are also dead excited to be doing this for Teenage Cancer Trust”.
All the money raised will go towards the South West fund and help teenagers and young adults with cancer in the South West and Bristol area to fund nurses and support for these teenagers.
“The Broadcast has almost taken a year of planning with tiresome hours and fund raising for internet streams and equipment. For the very first time the show will be live on webcams for the whole weekend and you will be able to watch and listen to the show online,” the station says.
