How Sydney radio listeners came to the rescue

[ Photo : Radio Today, Australia ]
Radio Today, Australia reports that on Paul Murray's 2UE morning show today he set out to prove 'Sydney people are good people'.

The background to the story goes like this :-
On Sunday a 70 year old man was selling raffle tickets for the 'Kids with Cancer' charity when $4000 was stolen from him.

So while the police are doing their job to apprehend the robber/s, Murray urged his 2UE listeners to dig deep and raise the $4000 to give to the charity.

But by lunchtime they had raised $10,000 !!!!
