Qatar: New programmes on revamped QF Radio

Al-Hudaifi says that the station is keen to involve the community
February 16, 2013, Gulf Times reports that the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development will air its revamped radio station QF Radio with a diverse range of English and Arabic shows through two channels from today.

The programmes will be broadcast in Arabic on 93.7 FM and English on 91.7 FM, in addition to the station’s website and phone applications.

Some of the new airings today will be on innovation, technology, sport and current events. All of these programmes are produced in-house, making each broadcast unique and tailored for different audiences and making the content meaningful to the community.

Qatar Foundation Media Centre manager Saad Saleh al-Hudaifi said the expansion of services provided more opportunities for QF Radio for greater engagement with its listeners.

He said: “Since its first launch, the radio station has been keen to involve the community, especially by increasing youth participation in the station’s programmes. We are striving to provide our listeners with a platform to discuss the things that matter to them and impact their daily lives.”
