Power FM staff get ready to give roses to couples during the love week in 2010 |
As a prelude to Valentine's day, Power FM
presents the love week, where it encourages staff, listeners and church
communities to show love through different activities.
During the course of next week (February 10-17), Power FM, in
partnership with Rusadia Florists, PACE and the HUB, will be giving away
goodies. Bouquets, the famous love wheels (a game that tips couples on
how to improve their communication), dinner at Serena hotel and Bibles
will make up some of the goodies.
"Because we live in a society riddled by the effects of selfish
desires and ambitions portrayed through corruption, thefts, child abuse
and child sacrifice, our desire through the love week is to sow seeds of
love," said Ronnie Habasa, Power FM's clients relations manager.
Each day of the week has a theme based on love, for example, 'Love
your God,' is the Sunday theme and 'Love for Partner' on Valentine's
day, February 14.
And on Valentine's, couples are expected to share stories and the
best will win an invite to a glamorous Valentine's banquet at Serena
hotel the following day.
The love-week will end on Saturday at the Uganda Wildlife Education
Centre (UWEC) with the 'Love Overdose,' a family fun day. The finale
will also have a concert featuring artistes like Coopy Bly, Wilson
Bugembe and Exodus at a fee of Shs 10,000.
