This week’s quiz question is a sporty question, about the French Open tennis tournament, or the Roland Garros, as it is known here. Last Sunday, Rafael Nadal defeated Roger Federer, in the men’s final … his sixth French Open win. With six victories at the Roland Garros, Nadal has now equaled a former tennis star’s record for the most ever wins at the French Open … who was that player?
Who, previous to Rafael Nader last Sunday, held the record for the most ever wins at the Roland Garros / French Open tennis tournament?
You have until 11 July to send in your answers; the answer and the winners will be announced on the 16 July programme. Be sure you send your postal address in with your answer … and let me know if you are a Mr. or a Mrs. or a Ms. or a Miss– I would hate to get it wrong!
