China Radio International held a press briefing in Beijing on Wednesday on the "China-Pakistan Media River Civilization Tour", which marked a successful close to the reporting trip along the Indus and Yangtze rivers.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, CRI initiated and organized a reporting trip along Pakistan's major river. More than 20 reporters from seven Chinese influential media outlets spent 11 days on reporting work, hosted 30 interviews and published 230 written, audio and video reports.

Two months later, reporters from major Pakistani media outlets visited Beijing and traveled along the Yangtze River. They introduced quake reconstruction work, species protection, the Three Gorges Dam and China's achievements in foreign trade to the Pakistani people.

Masood Khan, Pakistani Ambassador to China said at the occasion: "The media of the two countries reflect the aspirations of the two countries for deeper ties between our two nations...as their ties grow, they will help us negotiate a better transition to a fast globalizing world."
