Tunis — Tunisian singer Alia Belaid was awarded the first prize at the 11th Arab Radio Song Contest held Thursday evening by the Arab States' Broadcasting Union (ASBU) in collaboration with the Tunisian Radio Station.
Alia Belaid won the first prize worth 3,000 dollars whereas the second prize, worth 2,000 dollars, was awarded to Sudanese Ahmed Chaouich and the third one worth one thousand dollars, was won by Bahraini Mohamed Janehi.
Seven Arab radio stations of Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, Sudan, Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar attended the contest.
