UNFCCC/CDM African Radio Contest 2012

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is pleased to announce the launch of the second UNFCCC/CDM African Radio Contest under the theme “Changing Lives”.

Selected winners will be invited to visit CDM project sites in Africa where they will have an opportunity to learn more about the CDM and produce new radio stories and documentaries. Last year, selected winners were invited to attend the UN climate change conference in South Africa, where they learned more about climate change and the CDM.

The radio contest is open to all broadcasters and freelancers in Africa and is intended to raise awareness about climate change issues and the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol.

Entries must be received no later than 6 August 2012.
