UK: Lache radio station back on the airwaves

POPULAR community radio station Lache FM has returned to the airwaves for an action-packed 12 broadcasts.

Thousands of people are expected to tune in to the station for what promises to be the biggest broadcast to date packed with community news, views and events. It will also see the return of its regular popular slots, including on air presentations from children at Lache Community and St Clare’s Primary Schools.

Station manager Chris Sutton will work alongside resident DJ Dan Burn to oversee the broadcast.

Thousands tuned in to the station’s last broadcast during November and December last year and the station proved such a hit that listeners have even tuned in from as far awide as Australia, Mexico and other countries.

Mr Burns said: “We anticipate this broadcast will be even bigger and better. Everyone involved has worked hard to ensure it will be a success and I am sure it will be.

“We have a lot of exciting things happening on the airwaves so please tune in.”

Meanwhile the show will also broadcast a must tonight, for all Elvis fans with Lache resident and former impersonator of the King himself, Kenny Stuart.

Kenny will take to Lache FM between 7-9pm tonight. The Elvis airwaves show will feature Elvis’s greatest hits, fan-phone-ins, and a live phone in from Elvis’s former guitarist James Burton.

“The show is absolute delight for Elvis fans everywhere, it will be a real treat and celebrate the King himself,” added Kenny.
