National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters' Council (NEMBC) is offering six broadcasting awards to recognise excellence in ethnic and multicultural programming and to recognise broadcasters for their work in multicultural community broadcasting.
Winners will be announced at the NEMBC Conference Gala Dinner on Saturday 24 November. All applications must be submitted by Friday 19 October 5pm.
NEMBC Program of the Year Award
This award will recognise the best ethnic or multicultural radio program and how the program has demonstrated its engagement with the community.
The Tony Manicaros Award
In memory of Tony Manicaros, this is an annual award of $1,500 to fund an innovative project which utilises, extends or develops opportunities in ethnic community broadcasting.
Women's Multicultural/Ethnic Best Program of the Year Award
Women's Multicultural/Ethnic Best Program of the Year Award
This award will go to the best multicultural/ethnic women's program.
NEMBC Women Broadcaster of the Year Award
This award seeks to encourage and inspire women broadcasters to continue their work as media producers and engaging the community in their programs.
Youth Multicultural/Ethnic Program of the Year Award
This award will go to the best multicultural and ethnic youth program.
NEMBC Youth Broadcaster of the Year Award
This award seeks to empower and encourage multicultural and ethnic youth broadcasters to continue their work in media production and involving the community with their programs.
