BBC Kyrgyz,
part of BBC Central Asia and BBC Global News, is seeking a broadcast
journalist to research, write, translate, edit and adapt items, stories
or program material on various platforms.
The successful candidate will find contributors and interviewees, as
well as other sources of material, while maintaining professional
journalistic standards. The journalist will also undertake pre-and
post-production and studio work, live and pre-recorded, as well as
perform on air, conduct interviews and chair discussions.
Applicants must have excellent written and spoken Kyrgyz skills, and
thorough knowledge of English. Candidates should have significant and
recent experience as a journalist, with good knowledge of production
techniques. The ability to write, adapt and translate with accuracy,
clarity and style appropriate to differing audiences and forms of media
is required.
