High-frequency radio receiving in late May

In the recent days, there have been conditions for better receiving of radio stations using high frequencies. Good radio conditions are expected in the following days. This will affect positively the fans of remote radio and TV signals at frequencies above 30 Mz. It was believed for decades that the distant radio and TV signals were affected only by sunspots and their number. However, the special stations put into high orbits, observatories, telescopes and others, have reported data quite complicating the results of solar activity. The patterns of electromagnetic storms on Earth are also determined in a different way. Unfortunately for radio hams, the only way to foresee things now is by following the density and speed of solar wind and when exactly it will reach the planet, as well as, conditionally, by the effects of solar outbursts. This, however, cannot guarantee the days of strong radio signals of the 13 and 16 meter bands. It is also hard to foresee the days of electronic clouds in the ionosphere. The electronic clouds are harbingers of remote radio and television stations, but if at dawn and after sunrise, there are many broken cirrus clouds in the sky, we can expect good reception of these stations in the course of the day.
