The German Football League have sold the domestic broadcasting rights to Bundesliga 1 and 2 games to broadcasters for the seasons 2013/2014 to 2016/2017 for around EUR 2.5 billion, or an average of around EUR 628 million a season. This is an around 52 percent increase from an average of EUR 412 million a year in the last bidding contest. Sky Deutschland has secured the right to show all games from the first and second Bundesliga divisions live, covering cable, satellite, terrestrial, IPTV, web TV and mobile distribution. Publisher Axel Springer has secured the rights to show clips of games via web TV and mobile TV from 2013/2014.
