Additional FM frequencies made available in the north

The Dutch Radiocommunications Agency has announced that none of the applications for the FM frequency package formerly used by Arrow Classic Rock meets the minimum requirements, and consequently they will not be processed further. The other available FM package, formerly used by Arrow Jazz FM, has not yet been awarded, but is expected to be awarded by 1 September.

Following the fire and collapse of the transmitting mast at Hoogersmilde a week ago, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, of which the Radiocommunications Agency is a part, has decided to make the two blocks of spare FM frequencies in the north of the country available for temporary use by other stations. Details will be published in due course.
