BBC director general, Mark Thompson may signal that the broadcasters’ operations in West London will be brought to an end.
Thompson and BBC chairman, Lord Patten are due to address staff tomorrow, claims The Guardian.
The BBC has scaled back its operations in the capital recently, moving operations to other parts of the country such as Salford.
There is speculation that the White City offices, synonymous with BBC production in the capital might be sold off to a football club; with QPR and Chelsea rumoured to be interested in bidding.
No-one from the BBC was available for comment at the time of going to print.
