China Radio International (CRI) launched a "Discover China" activity Thursday in Beijing, aiming to explore the revolutionary sites which once had great significance to the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The reporting trip, composed of nearly 100 Chinese and foreign journalists from CRI, will cover six provinces and municipalities, including Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan and Shaanxi.
"The 'Discover China' trips will show the real China from the perspective of foreigners," said Wang Gengnian, director-general of CRI in his address at the launching ceremony.
Wang said he believes that the trips will also help overseas people know more about the CPC before its 90th founding anniversary.
The five trips are expected to last for one month.
