Pakistan's Ministry for Religious Affairs has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) to carry special programmes related to the coming Haj, Associated Press of Pakistan reports.
Under the MOU, PTV and PBC, the national broadcasters, will air special programmes, documentaries and talk shows to provide guidance to intending pilgrims about the ritual of the Haj and their stay in Saudi Arabia.
Under the agreement the Ministry of Religious Affairs will pay Rs 10 million (US$115 thousand) to PTV and Rs 5 million (US$57.6 thousand) to PBC.
