The 2012 Radio Havana Cuba´s pocket calendar , dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the Literacy Campaign, reproduces the painting made by Osvaldo Guayasamín to the former Cuban Minister of Culture Armando Hart Dávalos in 1986, in Havana.
The pocket calendar was presented on September 8th in Havana, in the venue of the Culture Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean under UNESCO, commemorating the International Day of Literacy.
The calendary, edited in Spain by the Association of Culture and International Cooperation, is to honor Armando Hart, President of “José Martí” Cultural Society, as well as the almost 300 000 teachers, students and workers of the Campaign, the greatest cultural work of the Cuban Revolution.
All the listeners and friend worldwide eager to acquire this work of art of Guayasamín, known as the painter of Latin America, which is a copy from the original one, located at “Antonio Núñez Jiménez” of Nature and Man Foundation, in Havana, must use their names and last names, as well as their postal address, as the calendar is printed.
